What you should submit
Excluding the final project itself, this is the last assignment you will submit in this course. It includes:
- A draft map that will appear in your final project
- A brief reflection highlighting what you’ve done so far and what’s left to do
Draft map
In png format, you should submit a map that will appear in your final project. The map should meet the following criteria:
- Depicts multiple spatial datasets used in your analysis/representation
- Demonstrates your understanding of your chosen geospatial methodology
- Follows best practices of cartographic design
Reflection
In docx or pdf format, you should submit a short, 1-page reflection (between 250-500 words) explaining how the map fits into your broader poster layout, topic, and project. Your reflection should address the following:
- What workflow did you use? Be specific—what kinds of tools did you run, are you using clips/buffers? Are you created data through table joins, georeferencing, etc.?
- What were the key data sources? Be specific—what are the data models (vector/raster) and data sources?
- Based on what you accomplished so far, what’s left for you to do?
